The most common way to define boredom is having nothing to do. Almost everyone suffers from it in the course of their lives.
Boredom is just a message sent to you by your subconscious mind to tell that there are more important things to do than what you are doing now.
Why do we get bored of things we used to like?

Pamark Radwan said “As you gain more experience in life and as your knowledge base becomes wider it becomes harder to impress you”.
Boredom could be caused by repetition, any experience that is predictable and repetitive becomes boring.
It means that when we get used to the things we like, we find them uninteresting later on or at least not as interesting as they used to be. I’m someone that gets bored easily, watching a movie more than once bores my spirit, listening to a particular song countless times bores my spirit, Reading a novel more than once bores me!
Also, some individual are more likely to be bored than others. Have you ever met someone who is easily impressed by anything? Just like a small child can play with a boring toy for the whole day without getting bored your friend who hasn’t seen a lot may not get bored as fast as you.
A bored individual is unable to articulate what it is that he or she desires or wants to do. An inability to know what will make one happy can lead to a more profound boredom. Also, in the absence of inner amusement skills, the external world will always fail to provide enough excitement and novelty.
I do write in a journal when I’m bored, sometimes, I learn something new, or I read a book, or I look through old photos and videos, or I watch movies, or I take some selfies, or I eat snacks,or I take a nap.
Why do some people get angry when they are bored?
Boredom can be a symptom of depression, so if you’re depressed and feeling bored, your mood could easily switch to feeling sad and it could switch from sadness to anger.
Do we get bored of our bad habits?
I don’t think so, bad habits have become so part of everyday behaviors that is bound to be tough to change them. These routines are such a part of life that even knowing the potential negative impacts not be enough to change them.

Someone said ” One never gets bored, one only lives a boring life”. Which type of boredom are you suffering from? Are you bored because you have no major interests or goals to go after? Are you bored because you’re lonely? Are you bored because you have nothing to do? Probably you get bored easily because you been living a boring, mundane life and you need to spice things up. Be creative and vibrant. Always be onto something.

Great content here!
To add to this, there is actually nothing wrong with being bored, the only problem comes from agonizing about our boredom. Human is naturally curious, and one can attribute this part of a human to wanting to experience something new, or something old in a different way.
We are angry about our boredom because we are afraid to be with ourselves, we want attention so we won’t do the work we know we should be doing which is basically the tenet of procrastination.
And we become depressed because we focused on something that happened yesterday, judging ourselves, blaming ourselves and thinking we don’t deserve to be where we are; all of these are stories we tell ourselves.
When you are bored and you give yourself a chance to explore, you can learn more things about yourself, you enjoy the process (which is usually boring) and we stop getting attached.

Apt, when we are bored, its a chance to explore, chance to learn more new things about the world and yourself. Maybe we should be more creative and vibrant.
