I am someone that will enjoy movies not only because of their actions and adventures but also because of their speeches. Speeches have the power to move us emotionally and to even change the way we think of life.
I watched a movie recently, the speech there was short, sweet, true fact, and informal, which exactly fitted the movie. Great speech and a movie well worth watching. The speech was about the king encouraging his soldiers to fight for their freedom from France. The king said………
“All men are born to die, we know it. We carry it with us always. If your day be today, so be it. Mine will be tomorrow. Or mine today and yours tomorrow. It matters not, what matters is that you know, in your heart……………..
Do I need to say more? I love the speech! With the sound they played at that particular scene, the speech continues to inspire me and give me goosebumps everytime I watch it.
I have movies that I kept mainly because of their speeches, they are my go-to when I need an uplifting watch to change my mood and make me happy. Some movies will make you feel inspired to be a criminal -but, like, in a good way(smiles). An incredible speech was given in one movie. whoever wrote it, is a genius!
“I’m going to give you a little advice. There’s a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.”
To be very honest with you, there have been many great speeches in movies throughout movie history, some a lot better than others. Those speeches depends on how you see them. For example, In a movie called “Full metal jacket” The captain speech given to the marines was…..
“Today, you people are no longer maggots. Today, you are marines. You’re part of a brotherhood. From now on until the day you die, wherever you are, every marine is your brother. Most of you will go to Vietnam. Some of you will not come back. But always remember thus: marines die. That’s what we are here for. But the marines corps lives forever. And that makes you live forever.”
Those speeches are extremely moving, they are uplifting, and they inspire the viewer to live life to their full potential ( even if they do it indirectly). There’s an Indian movie I watched that it really had a great speech in it’s song. I’ve watched the movie countless time just to see the lines in the song……
“Life’s changing every moment. Life is now a shade. Life is no sunshine. Every moment on earth, live life to the fullest. Whatever time you have is yours, for tomorrow might never come.”
Another example of Indian movies that has an amazing speech in it’s song is “3 idiots”….
“When life spins out of control just let your lips roll. When your lips rolls and whistle away the toll, yell- All is well. The chickens clueless about the egg’s fate, will it hatch or become an omelette. No one knows what tomorrow holds, so let your lips roll and whistle away the toll, yell- All is well.”
Speeches are extremely important part of our lives, whether you realise it or not. Speeches have the power to move emotionally and to even change the way you think of life. Have you ever watch a particular movie countless of time or for a second time just because of the speech given in it? What was it like?

Well, I can’t think of a better content to read at this period than this. Normally for me, watching movies is a way to escape this awful reality. It’s like a reset button, even though they’re just movies, they hold some exceptionally powerful messages that if applied to daily life can make one to be productive. Even during this pandemic period, there have been some movies that helps us in knowing what we are in for. Movies can be a wake up call for anyone hoping to see it in that manner.

Awesome write-up. Please do keep it up. Majorly I watch movies to lift my mood but I can relate to what you wrote with the opening song of one anime hunter x hunter. Imagine I was scared to start something because I felt I might fail but the song said “no matter how much you fall you get back up” so I said to hell with it jare I am doing this.

Whatever can’t be said will be song, so says a wise man I will never meet.
And another of those wise sages said; we dance to the music when happy but listen to the lyrics when sad.
Most times, language has a very huge impact in our life, and only a fool would think “it’s just word,” nope, it is not just word – it’s how we live, how we communicate, how we interact, and how our existence is in its existence.
Movies are where some of the best speeches are, but I would say music and poems have the best of it because it forces you to listen, even when you’re not listening.
I love word, and most importantly, I agonize my sentence, and growing up, I love reading, because every book, every sentence is a conversation between me and one old wise man who deem it fit enough to let me learn from his wealth of wisdoms.
Like always, pay attention to the language, and you’ll understand a lot about the world we found ourselves in – everything has its language, so I was told.

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I came across this during my search for something concerning this.|
